The news of James’ association with movie projects like World War Z and The Lone Ranger has been making rounds of the entertainment world for last few weeks.

And with one more potential film script bringing a role for former The Pacific actor, it seems like he has hit the green patch!

The latest movie to have James on board is Flight. The biggest attraction of the action tableau is award-winning star, Denzel Washington. Denzel would be seen in the role of a savior, Whip, whose witty life-saving acts as a pilot would come under scrutiny.

The plot of the movie would zero in on a possible plane mishap. And after Washington’s character lands the flight safely, further investigation into the matter would denounce his heroic deed, labeling him an alcoholic and a drug addict.

It’s not known what role James will play in the movie, but we know that his character would be suffering from cancer. Apart from Washington and James, another star who would be seen in the enthralling film is Melissa Leo.

I must inform you that James and Melissa’s stint in the movie hasn’t been confirmed yet, as the deals are in preliminary stage.

But chances are rife that the tough guy would make it into John Gatins’ story.

And it certainly is going to make for a good watch, with The Pacific actor sharing screen space with the likes of Melissa and Denzel. As of now, the news has gone viral online, and all the fans of James would have made their minds set to witness his latest avatar.

Even with a gloomy role of a cancer-stricken guy, you can’t take away the possibilities of James pulling out a surprise. More important than anything else, since you are not aware how his character would fit into the plot of Flight, we can’t write it off as inconsequential.

You must be wondering how The Pacific series could in any way be related to the death of someone like Andy Whitfield!

Well, you would realize the connection once I have told you that Liam McIntyre (the Aussie hunk set to feature as titular character in the epic gladiator show, Spartacus: Blood and Sand) was one of the guest stars in Steven Spielberg’s miniseries on World War II, The Pacific.

See! You have started to figure out what I am trying to convey!

Liam has an acid test up for him, with the new season of Spartacus about to kick off. It’s because with Andy’s demise, all his fans would surely look up to him for an act similar to the one that the cancer-stricken actor carried.

A download of his performances would certainly be the talk of the town, because every Spartacus fan would try to scrutinize every little move of Liam. Do you think The Pacific alumnus would be able to nail that?

Considering his striking resemblance to the dead star Andy, I would like to bet on him. Another thing that encourages me is his earlier exposure to battlefield.

Liam might not have the baritone that Andy used to flaunt on screen, but certainly, he has the hunger for pride and recognition in showbiz.

Am I right Liam?

I am, because in one his earlier interviews, the hunk revealed that he was honored to get the role that took Andy to next level of fame in industry.

Let’s not speak about the possibilities right now, since everything would come to light with the premiere of the gladiator show!

Though Liam McIntyre won’t be able to replace Andy as a person, he will be playing the most swashbuckling role onscreen!

When an actor transcends all the barriers in his/her professional life, complacency hardly seeps in. The assumption, however, doesn’t include every aspirant, but those who truly live up to what they have promised themselves are actually the ones who deserve the stardom.

Tom Hanks, whom we know not just as an actor but also as a writer, director and producer, is undoubtedly, a perfect example of a multi-faceted star.

And, believe it or not, the icon still has the fetish for adding Oscars to his tally. Revealing the same during one of his recent interviews, Tom added that he would like to call himself an artist and not just an actor.

He doesn’t feel satisfied to be only glorified for his past work. He said that would like to be recognized for the new work as well. In short, Tom is all-hopeful about laying hands on the coveted Academy Award.

Do you think he would be able to repeat what he did with Forrest Gump and Philadelphia?

It is understood that he vies for the recognition that icons like Steven Spielberg have been enjoying.

Tom Hanks produced the miniseries Pacific, which left a deep impression on the minds of the drama lovers, and I have no qualms in saying that most of his fans still look to watch The Pacific by going online.

This World War II centric show had Spielberg on board as one of the producers. And I think the miniseries was a great platform for the meeting of innovative minds.

I might be wrong in assuming that Tom wants to emulate Spielberg, because it could also happen that we might see a new kind of producer-director coming out of him!

A couple of weeks ago, the iconic filmmaker Steven Spielberg said that those production houses that have less knowledge about how to use 3D effectively in movies should consider the assistance of someone who is aware of all the aspects of 3D.

He even went on to say that the useful 3-D shouldn’t be made to look overused by someone who is merely after good box office return. Basically, Mr. Spielberg tried to create two groups of filmmakers – ones who know how to use 3-D in its best possible form and the others who seem to have no knowledge about it.

Well, he might be right with his inference, but in the process of doing something right, our filmmaker might be taking away the possibilities of what timeless experiments could be conjured up.

It’s certainly acceptable that if you don’t know how to use something skillfully, you must befriend someone who could help you in churning out the desired results.

But don’t you think that would reduce the chances of seeing someone’s new and effective approach at 3D technology, thereby bringing in tediousness and monotony in the long run?

Certainly, yes!

Instead of saying that 3-D is not meant for all, Spielberg could have suggested everyone to team up to heighten the appeal and usefulness of this great tool available to filmmakers.

Anyway, considering his great skills as a filmmaker, we mustn’t look deeper into his statement any further as we would mostly misinterpret him and his statements. And I am sure those who watch and appreciate his work would definitely get the point he was trying to make, even if we don’t seem to.

The Pacific, the miniseries co-produced by him, is being appreciated by many. And you could find many people searching for its online feed.

I would like to see Spielberg use the 3D effects if he plans a movie version of the smash hit miniseries, The Future, in future!

We all know what Tom Hanks’ status as an actor in Hollywood is.

And it is understood why a celebrity of such a big stature, often comes out with something bigger than what you expect!

This time, Tom Hanks’ upcoming movie, Cloud Atlas, is the one making the news.

Rumors are on that Glasgow is going to witness the shooting of the big-budget venture Cloud Atlas.

Of all the movies, anticipation is high for Tom Hanks’ flick, which also features Oscar winning screen siren, Halle Berry, along with The Pacific executive producer.

I wonder, if the shooting location of the film has been sufficient to snatch away all the attention of the entertainment world, then what magic would the project itself cast!

An estimated budget of $150m has been set for the production of Cloud Atlas, which would deal with a tale that spawns across several eras.

It’s needless to mention that the name Tom Hanks is synonymous to astronomical production costs. Just a year ago, he, along with Steven Spielberg and others, set a record by dishing out the most expensive miniseries on the small screen.

And there can’t be any doubt that there are still several history fanatics, who love to download the memories of World War II, depicted so wonderfully in The Pacific.

Just like Tom, the bearded filmmaker, Steven Spielberg is also someone who loves to go big.

Currently, he is busy promoting his upcoming anime, The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn.

With news pouring in about Steven’s allowing the Beckhams, to make his California mansion their favorite stomping ground, for whopping $150k a month, I don’t think there would be any dearth of funds – even in order to fund some more affluent projects, in the near future. Lol!

Well, having loved the 10-part miniseries, I just want those two honchos to plan another grueling TV project on the lines of The Pacific.

I wish the big guns of the industry read this, and surprise all the fans with something even massive!

His stint in Steven Spielberg’s ten-part war series, The Pacific, must have allured many big production houses. And James Badge Dale is all set to play the role of a soldier once again.

‘World War Z’, the movie starring Brad Pitt, is a post-apocalyptic zombie tale, and James is likely to play an important part as a soldier.

His character would actually claim the existence of the un-dead. And that makes his role as special as that featured in The Pacific series.

The thriller based on Max Brooks’ novel of the same name, has had to incur many financial hiccups in the past. But, with the conformation of production starting off by the month of August, things seem to be working out now.

James Badge’s deal with the movie has not been finalized yet, but rumors are on that he wouldn’t let go an opportunity to share screen space with a superstar like Brad Pitt! I agree!

I know it would sound clichéd, but I’d like to say that James has all the makings of a star. And it’s not just me, but most of his die-hard followers share the same opinion. They still love to watch The Pacific for him. Online option could be an easy way out as the show is currently off air!

The air of mystery that surrounds ‘World War Z’ won’t end until the movie releases. And the last thing that James and his fans would hope for, is a change in the casting!

Stay tuned for further updates.

This miniseries was a tribute by the HBO Channel to the soldiers and civilians who sacrificed their lives to salvage the pride of their homeland.

It conveyed to us the havoc that a war can wreck on the body and psyche of men who get mired in bloody battles. The stint of the show was small, lasting hardly two months, yet it made us understand the frailties of war and its ramifications in an unprecedented manner.

Interested readers may grab a download of the show to witness the travails of contingents of soldiers who put up a brave front in the war against Japan.

The plot of The Pacific tracks various bands of warriors and their stint on the turf as they face adversaries and juggle numerous issues that crop up as a result of the uncertain circumstances.

The Pacific hit the headlines recently after the show won the coveted George Foster Peabody Award!

This, indeed, is another feather in the cap of the show since the award is associated with excellence in broadcasting.

The ceremony that was concluded on May 23 in New York City witnessed Kary Antholis, the President of HBO miniseries, coming to receive the honors.

While Captain Andrew Haldane, one of the soldiers whose story was featured in the show, was fondly mentioned in Kary’s thanksgiving speech, we were once again reminded of the immense damage caused by war, and its ultimate futility.

It’s pretty obvious that The Pacific fans must be waiting for their favorite stars to appear on any other show.

Well, if the same is the case with you too, then your wait is about to end.

How you ask?

Well, the title of this write-up should have made things pretty clear!

Jon Seda will be appearing in season 2 of ‘Treme’!

Many of you might know that ‘Treme’ is a show, based on the adversity caused by Hurricane Katrina, and its aftermath. The show has successfully completed its season 1 and is now ready to amaze fans with season 2.

Well, season 2 has already made fans curious, because it has Jon Seda in it. This season will showcase the situation after Katrina, when a lot of money came in for assistance, but a major portion of it vanished!

Many questions that rose up at that time had no answers whatsoever.

Jon Seda will play the character of Nelson Hidalgo, who is a capitalist. He will enter New Orleans with the aim to help with the reconstruction of the city, in the aftermath of the hurricane. He will provide help and also rally around to get the answers to these lingering questions.

Well, it would be great to see Seda in such new situations, because we are all aware of his acting skills, which he proved in The Pacific.

Now, once again, our adorable actor is ready to showcase his talent! And for his previous brilliant performances, we have the option to download the series in which he played the character of Gunnery Sergeant John Basilone. We all pray that after enthralling us in The Pacific, he comes up with yet another stellar performance!

Welcome friends!

Well, don’t take the title in its literal sense as all that I want to say is that Joseph Mazzello has been selected for a political drama named ‘Georgetown’. Isn’t it amazing?

Joseph has garnered name and fame in the small screen industry through The Pacific, a war based drama. He is an outstanding actor, who has played different roles with great perfection and devotion.

His acting endeavors have indicated that Joseph is not a victim of personal stereotyping or restricted to a particular genre. He likes to explore his options and widen his horizons based on those options.

Certainly, Joseph always gets more than what he ever thought of.

Coming back to his upcoming project, Georgetown will be centered on the lives of young workers of Washington. Joseph has been chosen for a role of a character named Peter, who works as a White House employee and is an occupant of the lower area of the town.

In this political drama, Joseph will be seen with Katie Cassidy, Daisy Betts and others. The shooting of this small screen project has been going on in Silvercup Studios.

The role which he played in The Pacific and the role, which he is going to play in Georgetown, are entirely different from each other. Both the roles are challenging and demand exceptional devotion of the actor.

I can’t predict much about Georgetown but in The Pacific he wooed us all with his strong yet interesting role.

He has been entertaining all of us since 1990 but The Pacific is one of the most remarkable projects of his career. In this show, he played the role of Eugene B. Sledge, which is an adaptation of historical figure.

Truly, this project of Steven Spielberg’s gave an immense scope to this actor to flaunt his incredible acting skills and dynamic personality.
